GetUnbored was invented to help friends keep in touch within the GetUnbored Services and also outside of the GetUnbored Services. The goal of GetUnbored is to help people discover their local community and find / organize social gatherings and personal events. Users can organize these places, groups and events with an easy to use and sharable i-calendar. In order to accomplish this, GetUnbored will record personal and private event information. This information can be displayed to your friends, but you can control how this information is and if displayed, and you can change or delete this information at any time. 

Protecting your privacy is a serious matter and doing so is very important to us. Please read this Privacy Policy statement (the "Policy") to learn more about our Privacy Policy. This Policy describes the information we collect from you and what may happen to that information, and only applies to such information.

Non-personally-identifiable information: GetUnbored will log non-personally-identifiable information such IP address, profile information, accumulated user data and browser type. This information is collected from Users of the GetUnbored service. This data is necessary in the up-keep of the GetUnbored Website and is also very useful in tracking the usage of the GetUnbored Website. This information may be shared with various third-parties to assist in relevant services and/or advertising with GetUnbored. Users' IP addresses are recorded only for security and monitoring purposes, and will never be shared with third-parties. Event information including pictures and first names are displayed to Users to encourage user interaction in GetUnbored networking community. Email addresses are used for inviting new friends to join GetUnbored, to add users to other users' friends and to send notifications related to the GetUnbored Services. A user's email address is not shared or displayed without the User's consent to add their email address to an event or RSVP. Users will be able to search for friends using key words such as name, email address and schools. We may also use emails to send updates, surveys, newsletters or news regarding the GetUnbored Services. A User may at any time discontinue these emails by emailing customerservice@getunbored.com. Occasionally GetUnbored may sponsor a promotion, sweepstakes or contest on GetUnbored.com. Users may be asked to provide information such as name, email address or home address and/or answer questions in order to participate. We may transfer this information to ad partners that you have requested to receive information from. Upon entering the information it will be clear to Users who is receiving the information and whose privacy statement will apply.

Invitations to Non-Members: GetUnbored Members can invite friends to join the GetUnbored Website by sending invitations through the GetUnbored Invitation System or through the facebook connect system. GetUnbored stores these email addresses and facebook user names so the respondents may be added to friend networks of the member sending the invite, and also to send reminders to GetUnbored. We will not use email addresses or FB user names obtained from the GetUnbored Website for any other purpose not listed above. 

Cookies: GetUnbored Uses cookies to store Users' information so that we can remember certain things pertaining to advertisements, we do this to ensure that users aren't constantly annoyed by the same advertisements. Users' session information also helps us personalize newsletters and other similar features, also cookies help us determine browser type and user profile and event information. Some browsers may let you control cookies from certain sites, however, in order for many of the GetUnbored Services to work you will need to allow cookies from GetUnbored.com. Please note that GetUnbored allows third-party advertisers who are presenting advertisements on the GetUnbored Website to set and access their cookies on the User's computer. Advertiser's use of cookies is subject to their own privacy polices, not GetUnbored’s Privacy Policy. 

Communications with the GetUnbored Services: Please be aware that when a User posts any public or personal information to their i-calendar, Events or any other form of public communication, that this information is viewable by the public and can be used with malicious intent to send unsolicited emails or links to potentially dangerous material. 

Links: GetUnbored may contain links to many other sites. GetUnbored is not responsible for the privacy policies or any practices on these other sits. We do not monitor or control the links that other users may post. When a User follows such links, they should read the privacy policy of that particular site, and understand GetUnbored has no relation to websites linked by users. 

Account Settings: Members who no longer wish to receive email notifications for various events from GetUnbored may choose to never receive emails from us by selecting the "Do not send email notifications to me" in the User account Settings section. Users may change or modify their personal information at any time by logging into their account and going to the Edit Profile and Account Settings sections. 

Security: GetUnbored member accounts are secured by passwords created by the member upon registration or the securioty around the Facebook connect interface. GetUnbored takes some precautions to ensure the security of these passwords for the convenience of the User. We take reasonable measures to protect all information kept in our database. Any employee that may need to access personal information from our database such as customer support staff or technical support staff will be monitored and are highly qualified for their position. Despite all the precautions that are taken, we can not guarantee the security of member account information. Unauthorized entry by malicious users, hardware or software failure and/or malfunction, and other factors may compromise the security of member information at any time. GetUnbored is not responsible in any way for personal and/or account information that may be accessed by a malicious user. 

Advertising: Advertisements appearing on the GetUnbored Website may be delivered to users by GetUnbored.com or one of our advertising partners. Our Web advertising partners may set cookies, these cookies allow the ad server to recognize your computer each time an online advertisement is seen by a User. Ad servers may collect information from a User's computer about the location of the advertisement when it was seen, and determine which advertisements were clicked on. This information is intended to help the Users of GetUnbored with more interesting advertisements. This privacy statement covers the use of cookies by GetUnbored.com, not the use of cookies by any advertisers. 

Info collected by GetUnbored: Aside from otherwise stated in the above policies, GetUnbored will not disclose personal or account information to any third-party unless we believe it is necessary to disclose this information, here are some examples of scenarios in which GetUnbored may be required to disclose information collected: - To conform to legal requirements or to respond to search warrants or any other legal processes, whether or not a response is required by law. - To enforce the GetUnbored Terms of Use Agreement or to protect our rights - To protect the safety of members of the public and users of the GetUnbored Services. GetUnbored hereby reserves the right to disclose personal information to a successor in interest that acquired rights to that information. 

Changes in Our Privacy Policy: GetUnbored may occasionally change our Privacy Policy, if changes are made, we will, but are not required to, attempt to let all users know about these changes.
