Every mini-game

After every round, Borelock drags the whole room into a mini-game. Some need fast thumbs. A few need a big vocabulary. The best ones need a straight face. They all play on the TV with your phone as the controller, and none of them drag on. Unless a game says otherwise, it works with 2 to 8 players.

Action

Bumper Brawl. A crumbling platform, a lot of water, and everyone you love. Dash to bump them off and brace when they come for you. Last one dry wins.

Crown Grab. You score by standing alone in the glowing zone. So does everyone else, which is why there’s shoving. The zone moves.

Hot Potato. Dash into someone to hand them the bomb. Nobody knows how long the fuse is, and it gets shorter every round.

Dash Derby. A top-down race with boosts on the track and elbows out. Checkpoints keep it honest. Shoves do not.

Spin Cycle. A giant arm sweeps the arena. Jump the orange one. Duck the purple one. Try to remember which is which.

Page Crush. A wall is coming, and it has holes in it. Find one that fits before it reaches you. There are fewer holes than players.

Color Call. The TV calls a colour and the rest of the floor drops away. Each colour has its own symbol too. Look fast.

Bump Ball. One giant ball and two goals. Dash into the ball (or into a rival) and get it in three times. Teams sort themselves out, from 1v1 up to 4v4.

Micro Mayhem. A chain of tiny games that each ask one thing: tap, hold, swipe, pick, or touch nothing at all. You get three lives. It speeds up.

Flick and sports

Bowl Brawl. Everyone bowls their own lane at the same time, so nobody sits around waiting for a turn. Three frames. Strikes and spares count big.

Curling Clash. Flick your stone at the bullseye and knock rivals out of the house. Your third throw is golden and scores double.

Mini Golf Madness. Everybody putts at once on courses full of ramps, bumpers and windmills. Sink it first and everyone else gets ten seconds.

Words and puzzles

Word Whirlwind. Unscramble the word before anyone else. In team games a captain answers, and the job rotates.

Word Grid. Trace touching letters to make words. Longer words score more. Finding one first scores the most.

Word Wheel. Swipe the letter wheel to fill the crossword before your rivals claim the slots.

Sort It Out. Potions, gems, candy, socks. Get each jar down to one colour faster than everyone else.

Party, comedy and bluffing

BRO, WUT?! Everyone answers the same ridiculous prompt. The answers go up without names, and the room votes for the best one. (3 or more players.)

Doodle Duel. You get a prompt and your phone becomes a sketchpad. The room votes on whose drawing wins. (3 or more players.)

Captain Bluff. Make up a fake answer to a real trivia question that sounds fake already. Fool your friends, then try to spot the truth. (It goes by its Adult-mode name in Adult matches.)

Fact vs Cap. True or made up? Lock in your call and bet on how sure you are. Works in team games too.

Hot Seat. One player guesses the word while everyone else gives clues without saying it. Type your guess, or say it out loud if your phone does voice input. (At least 2 real players.)

Luck

Dice Duel. Shake your phone to roll five dice. Keep the ones you like and roll the rest, up to twice more. Best hand wins.

Player counts

  • BRO, WUT?! and Doodle Duel need 3 or more players. A vote between two people is just an argument.
  • Hot Seat needs at least 2 real people on phones. Bots sit this one out, because they can’t keep a secret.
  • Bump Ball splits the room into two sides at any count from 2 to 8.
  • In team matches, Word Whirlwind and Fact vs Cap are played as teams. The comedy and bluffing games always score each player separately.

More mini-games on the way

We’re building more games now, and new boards will bring some of their own.
